The most popular besides Tenerife is Gran Canaria, which is also the second most populated and second-largest and is considered the best for hiking. There are six beaches at Playa de Las Americas, each with its own unique features. If you want nice calm waters with golden sand, El Camison and Troya are both perfect for this.
