Store Your Luggage Around Rio de Janeiro With Bounce

Situated on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, Rio de Janeiro is the capital of the state of Rio de Janeiro. It was founded by the Portuguese in 1565 who made it the capital of Brazil. In 1808, it was the seat for the court of Queen Maria of Portugal. It remained the capital of Brazil until 1960 when the capital was changed to Brasilia and Rio de Janeiro became the capital of the state instead.

As one of the most popular tourist towns in the Southern Hemisphere, the city is well-known for its beautiful beaches, gorgeous Sugarloaf Mountain, and many national, state, and city parks. Outdoor activities are popular here with an average high temperature of 81 and an average low temperature of 70. Make sure you get some shots of the giant statue of Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado Mountain, which was named as one of the New Eight Wonders of the World. It is also the home to the largest carnival in the world, Rio Carnival, held in February every year since 1732.

Copacabana Beach is one of the most popular beaches worldwide, and this is where they hold the most amazing New Year’s Eve parties every year. It doesn’t hurt that the average temperature at that time of year is in the middle 80s. Hang gliding, boating, and hiking are also favorites for both the locals and the visitors. Sports are also important here with the largest stadium in the world that holds up to 190,000 people. The place is packed every year for the World Cup. No matter what time of year you visit, you are sure to find something fun to do.

Great food, cold beer, and Latin music all blend together to make the perfect eating experience.

Located on Rodolfo Dantas in Copacabana, this fine dining establishment boasts cushioned and cozy seating, fancy tablecloths, and candles at each elegant table. They only use the finest cuts of meat, such as prime rib, lamb, and fresh seafood.
  • Ferro e Farinha: Just because you are thousands of miles from New York does not mean you cannot get some New York style pizza. You can get a traditional topping with sauce and cheese or take a chance on one of the more interesting choices like the Grana Padano, cheese with picante honey, or fermented bean and soy sauce.
